Hi FibaManiacs. I want to apologize for my inactivity in the website. Personal reasons don’t leave me enough time to show all my pending material. But also I take advantage to clarify I’m desiring to do it every single day! And I will do it as soon as possible. Meanwhile see you on Twitter 😉
Tonight it’s the officially begin of the Olympic Games so we just have time for one game more. I don’t come to mind better option than relive the last gold medal game where Spain repeated a fantastic game against USA in London 2012 and converting his effort in another Olympic silver medal.
I realized I’m absolutely focused in the Olympic Games so I think it’s a good moment to take a break before the opening ceremony. Today we are back with european clubs. I started with Maccabi Tel Aviv because it was the first FIBA team to defeat a NBA team in history but Real Madrid is the king of Europe with 9 championships and 8 runner-ups.
We continue with gold medal games. Any Olympic gold medal game deserves to be remembered and especially the 1992 Barcelona Dream Team. However we’re to less than one week to Rio so I decided to follow with the spanish silver medals. So it’s time to relive the 2008 Beijing gold medal game!
The Olympic Games are coming and I can’t wait to the opening game. So I think it’s a perfect moment to remember classic games as aperitif/warm-up. This time I selected the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games what it has a double meaning for me: They were the first Olympics for Michael Jordan and the first Olympic medal for Spain.
I’m sorry friends for my low activity with the posts but I’m very busy with other matters and I haven’t time for all. Now I’m online so I take advantage to continue with the “essentials” section. Other documentary absolutely reccomended for your video library and also a very good complement for the previous post.
Another bit of history. An inevitably retro collection of a team sadly disappeared but of course it deserves to be remembered. Yugoslavia is considered one of the best teams in basketball history with 5 World Championships, 8 Eurobaskets and 1 Olympic gold medal. But between this achievements Yugoslavia is the reponsible team of 2 big eras of domination in the international basketball.
I know that I said “the prices are too high” but as Fiba MANIAC I couldn’t avoid it and I was there finally. It was the first Eurobasket with more than one country in the organization and I wanted to live the experience.
In history the Chicago Bulls were a loser team until two particular events.
In a first moment I considered unnecessary publish the post after the hard advertising campaign. But due I’ve received some inquires I’m going to clear the current confusion!
