1991 NBA Finals First Ring & Slam Dunk Championships Chicago Bulls Michael Jordan Jersey

The story

Thank you mom 🙂

There will be a lot of jerseys of Michael so we’re going to leave his presentation for later. Now I would to speak why this is my opening post of the blog.

All started here. My mother wasn’t conscious what she was doing and she gifted me my first basketball jersey in the early 90’s. I was 10 years old or less and I didn’t know nothing about basketball. Even I didn’t know the basketball existed. I don’t remember the date but I remember perfectly that everything changed that day. This jersey changed everything. This was the beginning.

Last dunk in the 1987 slam dunk contest

With this jersey Michael Jordan gifted us many exhibitions but talking about titles he won the slam dunk contest 2 times (1987 and 1988) and his first ring of the NBA in 1991. At the 1987 slam dunk contest he won the final over recently died Jerome Kersey (Rest In Peace) with authority but one year later it was different. In the contest of 1988 the rival in the final round was Dominique Wilkins. Dominique did very good dunks but Jordan had luck to play in home (the 1988 All Star was in Chicago). By this reason it’s considered the most controversial of the slam dunk competitions but the style in the final dunk of Michael is so beautiful …

Three years later he reached the NBA Finals by first time. There it awaited an old version of the “showtime” of Los Angeles Lakers without Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The 1991 NBA Finals were the first final series for Jordan and the last for Magic Johnson. The Lakers would win the first game but finally the Bulls closed the series in 5 games and Michael was named MVP … as always.
